Our beginner program is designed for young infielders who are just starting their softball journey. We focus on teaching strong fundamentals, building confidence, and creating a fun, encouraging environment where athletes learn to love the game. Through consistent reps, basic skill development, and mental training, these athletes begin to lay the foundation for long-term success.
Who This Is For:
Softball middle infielders and third basemen, ages 8 to 12. Beginner-level athletes who are learning foundational skills and confidence on the field. This group is perfect for athletes who’ve never had formal instruction and who are brand new to the game.
Fielding & Focus
Developing physical skills, mental toughness and game awareness in every rep and situation. Rooted in fundamentals, confidence, and a love for the game.
Physical Skills Focus:
- Fielding position: hinge, catching ball off left eye, legs wide enough apart, glove out front
- Basic footwork: left-right catch, left-right throw, follow-through
- Body control: ladders, cone drills, basic agility and conditioning

Situational Skills:
- Basic understanding of where to go with the ball
- Prepitch thinking: ground balls vs fly balls
- Communication: who covers second, bunt/steal defense, calling the ball
